BSX restates Thursday trade report

A total of 95,000 Argus Group shares traded on the BSX on Thursday

No shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, leaving The Royal Gazette/BSX Index unchanged at 2,409.57.

The BSX had originally reported no trading on Thursday, but yesterday restated that report to show that four stocks traded and the index gained 19.04 points to close on 2,409.57.

A “system issue” was a cause of the error, a BSX spokesperson said.

The one stock to gain ground on Thursday was Butterfield Bank, which added 50 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to close on $40 on the trading of 2,512 shares.

Insurer BF&M fell on low volume, dipping 45 cents, or 2.8 per cent, to close on $15.85 as 100 of its shares changed hands. The most actively traded stock was Argus Group Holdings Ltd. The insurer saw 95,000 of its shares trade and it remained unchanged on $3.25.

Ten shares of One Communications Ltd also changed hands on Thursday, as the telecoms group closed unchanged on $3.58.
