Argus sees 100,000 shares trade on BSX

Bank boost: Butterfield shares rose for a third successive trading day on the BSX

One hundred thousand shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The insurer’s share price gained three cents, or 1 per cent, to close on $3.06.

Butterfield Bank also had a positive day, gaining 50 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to close on $35.50 as 140 shares changed hands.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares also advanced, climbing 31 cents, or 0.86 per cent, to close on $36.21 on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 23.09 points, or 1.05 per cent, to close on 2,221.04.

BSX trading volume totalled 100,140 shares, while turnover was $310,970.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 1.5 points, or 0.09 per cent, to close on 1,619.73.
