Shares of Butterfield Bank gained 0.8 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The bank gained 25 cents to close at $30.25 on the trading of 2,002 shares.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 40 cents, or 1.29 per cent, to close on $30.66 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Butterfield was the only stock to trade on the BSX.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 11.24 points, or 0.54 per cent, to close on 2,084.37.

The BSX Insurance Index added 17.12 points, or 0.99 per cent, to close on 1,751.28.
