Shares of Ascendant Group Ltd, the parent company of Belco, fell $1.75, or 5.3 per cent, to $31.25 after 300 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.There was trading in 1,500 shares of Devonshire Industries Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $3.25.Butterfield Bank shares improved 55 cents, or 1.9 per cent, to $29.55 after 1,484 were exchanged. Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were up 14 cents, or 0.47 per cent, at $30.05.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 7.86 points, or 0.39 per cent, at 2,042.53, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 2.45 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 1,719.12.
