Hamilton hires Osorio

Miles Osorio

The London arm of the Hamilton Insurance Group has taken on a new staff member.

Miles Osorio has joined Hamilton Underwriting, the managing agency of Lloyd’s Syndicate 3334 and the group’s Lloyd’s operations, as head of property direct and facultative.

Mr Osorio will be responsible for developing a book of direct and facultative property business worldwide and report to active underwriter Trevor Carvey.

Dermot O’Donohue, CEO of Hamilton Underwriting, said: “We are pleased to welcome Miles to Hamilton.

“His 25 years of experience as an underwriter and as a broker complements the talents of the rest of the team and will support our growth in the property D&F market.”

Mr Osorio joins the firm from Hardy Syndicate 382, where he was senior underwriter D&F with overall responsibility for the direct and reinsurance portfolio.

Earlier, he was head of individual risk, international property, at Montpelier Syndicate 5151 and his brokerage experience includes stints at Bowring Marsh and Willis Corroon.
