Tucker joins Harneys from Appleby

New hire: Henry Tucker, who is to join international legal firm Harneys today

Bermudian lawyer Henry Tucker has been signed up by international legal firm Harneys.

Mr Tucker, a specialist in litigation, joins Harneys today from law firm Appleby.

Sarah-Jane Hurrion, managing partner of Harneys Bermuda, said: “Henry Tucker has excellent experience in the field of litigation and restructuring and we are delighted to welcome him to the growing Bermuda team at Harneys.”

Mr Tucker’s practice includes offshore commercial and civil litigation with specialisation in arbitration, insolvency and restructuring.

He is also experienced in acting for wealthy clients in connection with cross-border trust and commercial disputes.

Mr Tucker is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Bermuda Bar Association and this year was elected to the executive committee of the Recovery and Insolvency Specialists Association of Bermuda.

The hiring of Mr Tucker follows the addition of Aaron Burrows, who joined Harneys as financial controller.

Harneys has also taken on 10 more lawyers spread across its offices in Singapore, Cayman and the British Virgin Islands.

A spokeswoman for Harneys said: “Since opening in Bermuda last year, Harneys has established a strong corporate and litigation practice.

“The firm’s enduring presence and deep roots in the key markets of Asia and Latin America has acted as a platform for its growth on the island as these markets drive a significant amount of business to Bermuda.”
