Propertyskipper launches new website

New look: Online property finder Propertyskipper's revamped website, which went live yesterday.

Online property company Propertyskipper yesterday launched a new Bermuda website.

The new website is designed to be easier to use and mobile device-friendly.

Peter Goodall, director of Propertyskipper, which also operates in Barbados and Guernsey in the Channel Islands, said the company had expanded since it started in 2013 and now advertised listings from more than 30 real estate agents in Bermuda.

He added: “Our platform continues to grow both in Bermuda and overseas.

“It’s been four years since we launched in Bermuda and both technology and internet search habits are changing at a rapid pace — we feel the time is right to further modernise the website to stay at the cutting edge of online property search.”

Mr Goodall said: “The pace of change in user habits needed to be considered carefully in the relaunch.

“In 2013, two-thirds of the traffic to the site in Bermuda was desktop. That is now just 50 per cent as mobile and tablet usage continues to climb — we do not see that trend changing in Bermuda.

“The continued roll-out of faster internet and 4G will greatly enhance mobile capabilities on the island and we wanted our website to be ready for this second stage of growth.

“With over 80 per cent of homebuyers and renters using the internet to find their next home, we want to continue to make the property search experience as user friendly and intuitive as possible.”
