Appleby Bermuda’s Brad Adderley and Vanessa Schrum are to speak at the Bermuda Executive Forum in New York on Wednesday.

The Forum, hosted by the Bermuda Business Development agency, will feature regulatory and industry leaders discussing the advantages offered by Bermuda’s financial centre.

Mr Adderley, a partner in Appleby’s corporate practice group in Bermuda, will be participating in the panel entitled “Evolution of the Bermuda ILS Market — Future Perspectives”.

This session will analyse how the ILS market has evolved significantly over the last 20 years, with Bermuda well established as the leading global domicile for the facilitation of the ILS transactions. This panel provides an overview of Bermuda’s ILS market, examining its importance and looking at future growth and direction.

Ms Schrum, a partner and group head in Appleby’s Private Client & Trusts practice group in Bermuda, will be participating in the panel entitled “Equipping International Families to Prosper in Today’s Turbulent World”.

This session will demonstrate how a leading financial centre like Bermuda tackles the challenges of UHNWIs. This panel will explore ways Bermuda helps families prosper amid regulatory challenges, geopolitical risk, and attacks on traditional notions of privacy. The session is being chaired by Carey Olsen Bermuda’s Keith Robinson.
