Centaur Fund Services has marked ten years of business, and included its Bermuda operations in the celebrations.The independent fund administrator started life in a single room in Dublin, Ireland, in 2009. Today, its has more than 140 employees and nine offices around the world, including the US, Canada, Europe and Bermuda.Centaur has operated in Bermuda since 2016, with its Pitts Bay Road office acting as a service office, primarily for North American-based clients.Marc Weaver, chief operating officer of Centaur Fund Services (Bermuda) Limited, said: “Centaur Bermuda is delighted to be part of Centaur’s ten-year celebrations. I have no doubt our local team has greatly contributed to Centaur’s North American success. “Last year alone, the firm celebrated a 75 per cent increase in assets under administration and a 50 per cent increase in clients along with significant new senior management appointments both locally and throughout North America.”He said Centaur Bermuda has surpassed all expectations and has expanded its service offering beyond hedge fund administration to include insurance-linked securities and private equity services. Its ILS service was launched two years ago. Centaur said it “has the essential expertise and experience to service sophisticated ILS structures and are on hand to deliver customisable solutions for clients”.It also said it has invested in technology to automate the accounting process for ILS funds, reinsurance companies and private equity funds and has expanded its team by hiring ILS and private equity staff in its new Canadian office.Mr Weaver said: “As we approach our next decade, we can promise the same level of commitment and service that has come to define our business and reputation. Centaur Bermuda has established itself as an integral part of Centaur’s global business. “We have built a strong client base with firms both here and in the US and see tremendous opportunities for further growth for the next ten years.”
