Bryan Dooley elevated at LOM

The Royal Gazette columnist and chartered financial analyst Bryan Dooley has been named chief investment officer of the LOM Financial Group.

The general manager and head of portfolio management for LOM Asset Management Limited for more than 14 years, Mr Dooley has been responsible for investment performance on large discretionary portfolios and LOM mutual funds, including the Morningstar 5-star-rated LOM Fixed Income Fund.

His investment career spans more than three decades of investment management, client relationship building, team leadership and portfolio construction.

LOM chairman and CEO Scott Lines said: “Bryan has achieved consistent, documented top-quartile investment returns for clients with total portfolios managed valued in excess of a billion dollars.”

Before LOM, Mr Dooley was head of portfolio management, senior investment strategist, senior vice-president and trust investment officer and private client adviser at institutions including the Wilmington Trust Company, Citigroup Inc and Bank of America.

The member of the Bermuda CFA Society earned a master’s degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary and is a former president of the South Florida CFA Society.

“We have every confidence Bryan will soar in his role as chief investment officer,” Mr Lines said. “As chair of the Investment Policy Committee, Bryan will continue to be responsible for overseeing discretionary portfolio management activities throughout the company as well as the selection of new portfolio managers.”
