Pembroke men accused of assaults on women

Two Pembroke men have denied assaulting women in separate incidents over the past week.

John Kennedy, 64, from Border Lane South, is accused of attacking Malaysia Thomas and causing her bodily harm on July 30. Michael Clamens, 39, from Mount Hill Mews, is accused of attacking Troylene Anderson and causing her bodily harm on August 1.

Both alleged incidents happened in Pembroke.

On Tuesday, Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released both men on $4,000 bail and ordered them to have no contact with their respective complainants.

Mr Kennedy will return to court for trial on October 19, while Mr Clamens will stand trial on September 27.
