Pembroke man charged with three robberies

A Pembroke man accused of committing three robberies has been remanded in custody.

It is alleged that Tio Weeks used a firearm in two of the robberies, while having an imitation firearm for the third.

Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, the 40-year-old was charged with robbing Judith Outerbridge of $1,098 in Pembroke on March 13 and of $1,960.33 last Tuesday.

He was also charged with robbing Diana Wilson of $1,600 in Pembroke on September 23.

Furthermore, Mr Weeks was accused of having an imitation firearm while committing the March robbery and using a firearm in both September robberies.

He was not required to enter a plea because the charges are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Mr Weeks in custody. He is set to appear in the November arraignments session.
