Man charged over Court Street shooting

A 29-year-old Pembroke man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Court Street during the weekend.

Jahmico Trott, from Pembroke, faces four charges — attempted murder, use of a firearm to commit an indictable act, handling a firearm and possession of a firearm — stemming from the incident which occurred near Elliott Street on Sunday afternoon.

Magistrates’ Court heard that the victim, a 34-year-old man, was grazed on his head by a bullet. Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Mr Trott into custody. He was not required to enter a plea as the matter was indictable and must be heard in Supreme Court. He is scheduled to reappear in court on July 3.
