Court Street shooting: second man charged

A second man has been charged in connection with a shooting on Court Street earlier this month.

Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, Troy Burgess, from Pembroke, was charged with attempted murder and using a firearm to commit an indictable offence on May 14.

The 29-year-old was not required to enter a plea because the charges are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded Mr Burgess in custody and the matter was adjourned to June 5 for mention.

Last week, Jahmico Trott, 29, from Pembroke, was charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm to commit an indictable act, handling a firearm and possession of a firearm, in connection with the same incident.
