A Hamilton Parish man was this morning fined $800 for driving without due care and attention.

Daniel Cabral, 29, admitted the offence when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court.

Prosecutor Alan Richards said the offence resulted in an “almost collision as opposed to an actual one”.

The offence happened yesterday.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe also added ten points to Cabral’s licence.

Cabral also admitted speeding at 61km/h in 2016.

He was fined $300 and had five points added to his licence.
