Court reports were ordered on a man yesterday after he admitted a charge of wounding.

Meshach Crichton, 20, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court to wounding Kevin Davis with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in an incident on February 26.

Acting Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe ordered a drug assessment and a mental health assessment on Crichton, from Warwick.

The case was adjourned until August and Crichton was remanded in custody.

The case was one of several that appeared before the court’s monthly arraignments session.

Alex Wolffe, 20, was ordered to return to court tomorrow to be sentenced for a stabbing and attempted robbery that took place on Harbour Road on October 23 last year.

The victim of the wounding, Borislav Angelov, suffered 13 stab wounds after he was chased along the road and attacked outside his Paget home.

Wolffe, who was stabbed in the shoulder while on trial, was found guilty of wounding, attempted robbery and two counts of intimidation last month.

Rakeem DeShields, 26, who earlier admitted causing the death of Dejon Simmons, also appeared at the arraignments session.

Mr Simmons, 30, died in hospital four days after he was injured in an early-morning fight on Front Street on March 18 last year.

DeShields, who pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter in April, will be sentenced on June 20.

Jared Gordon, 29, who admitted sending threatening messages to David Burt, the Premier, on October 12, 2017 and March 28 last year, will be sentenced on the same day.
