Men deny fighting during BHW holiday

Two men denied being involved in a brawl during the holiday weekend.

Keishun Trott, 28, and T’naji Taylor, 24, both pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court yesterday to taking part in a fight. Mr Taylor, from Southampton, also pleaded not guilty to assaulting a police officer.

The incidents are alleged to have happened on Sunday in Southampton.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released the defendants on $2,500 each and adjourned the case until July 15.

Trott, from Pembroke, pleaded guilty to driving without third party insurance during a separate incident and received a $1,500 fine to be paid by July 19.

Trott was also ordered to pay an unpaid $500 fine by July 31.
