Bermuda’s Delray Rawlins is in Dubai for three weeks, training with the England Cricket Board Under-19s with the hopes of gaining selection for the Young Lions tour of India in February.

Rawlins recently turned down the opportunity to represent the Americas team in the West Indies next month to commit to training with the Young Lions. Rawlins was named along with Kamau Leverock in the Americas squad for the regional 50-overs tournament, which starts next month.

“We have started camp here in Dubai and it’s been brilliant,” Rawlins said. “I am really enjoying training at the top facilities here at the ICC Academy. We’ve got some tough training days coming up soon, along with a match at the end of the week which hopefully I do well in.”

Rawlins has also qualified through residency to play for England, although he did represent Bermuda at the World Cricket League Division Four Tournament in Los Angeles in October.
