The Warrington “Soup” Zuill Masters Twenty20 Tournament looks set to start next weekend at Somerset Cricket Club, with Soup’s Sportsmen, captained by Herbie Bascome, out to the defend the title they won in last year’s inaugural tournament.

Organiser Hoyt Zuill was hoping to start the tournament this weekend, but is now aiming for next Friday and Saturday, with six teams again participating. Each team will have at least one female player, with Bummy’s Skippers and Lloyd’s Drivers having two in their squads.

The league, for players over 35, will feature a number of current players such as Janeiro Tucker, Curtis Jackson, Kwame Tucker and James Celestine of Southampton Rangers, Ricky Hoyte of Bailey’s Bay and Lionel Cann and Richard Todd of St George’s.
