Two armed robbers struck at M. Soares and Sons supermarket in Spanish Point this afternoon.

The pair brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash, before leaving with an undisclosed sum shortly before 3pm, according to police.

They are said to have left the scene on a motorcycle. No injuries were reported.

Bermuda Police Service spokesman Dwayne Caines said: “It appears that two males walked into the store and brandished what appears to be a firearm and made demands of money.

“The suspects were given an undisclosed amount of cash and then left the area on a motorcycle.

“An investigation into this matter is now under way and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two males riding on a motorcycle acting suspiciously in the area or anyone who may have any information.”

Witnesses should call Sergeant Renee Rock on 295-0011.
