An altercation at a St George’s club sent at least two people to hospital early this morning, according to police.

The incident happened at the Royal Artillery Association Club on Grenadier Lane shortly before 3am.

Initial information, police said, indicated that one man was punched and kicked by a group of several men.

Another individual, armed with a bladed article, injured two other men, police said.

“Apparently the man that was punched and kicked was taken to Kings Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment while one of the men injured by the assailant brandishing the bladed article was taken to hospital by a private vehicle,” police said.

Police processed the scene following the incident.
