Armed robbery at Collector’s Hill
Armed robbers struck at the Collector’s Hill Esso Service Station this morning in Smith’s, according to police.
Officers responded at about 5.30am after two suspects, one apparently brandishing a bladed article, accosted staff members as they opened the premises for the day.
One suspect was described as 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, while the other was described as 5ft 8in tall, of slim build.
There were no reported injuries — but cash and cigarettes were taken before the two made their escape on a motorcycle.
An investigation is under way and witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Hayden Small at the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.
