Last two men bailed after Rangers brawl

The last two of the seven men arrested in the wake of a mêlée at the Southampton Rangers Club early on Saturday have been released on police bail.

The men, aged 24 and 32 respectively, were bailed pending further inquiries, a police spokesman said.

An investigation into the brawl continues, and any witnesses who were at the premises around 3am on Saturday, February are encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744, or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.

The incident prompted a 24-hour closure of the club, until 10pm yesterday, with the club’s management decrying the antisocial behaviour at the end of a fundraising event, which left several people injured.
