Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault on a security guard at an East End yacht club, police said yesterday.

A police spokesman said the two, both 24, are believed to be from St George’s. The incident happened at the East End Yacht Club in the early on Saturday.

A 38-year-old St George’s man arrested just after the attack has since been released on police bail.

The injured security man was treated in hospital after the attack, which happened about 12.30am after he asked for proof of age from members of a group of men at the club entrance.
