Mitchell wins bronze in Martinique
Nicole Mitchell finished in third place in the women’s road race at the Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships in Martinique today.
Her bronze medal should qualify Bermuda’s cycling team for a place in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Barranquilla, Colombia next August.
“Her result today required a great deal of preparation for several months and we’re pleased to see her return to this competition and achieve such a strong result,” Peter Dunne, the Bermuda Cycling Association President, said.
Dominique Mayho finished a strong eleventh place in the men’s time-trial.
