Oliveira finishes fifth in Ireland
Matthew Oliveira continued his strong form at the Junior Tour of Ireland with a fifth-place finish in stage four yesterday.
Oliveira, riding for Hot Tubes of the United States, completed the 127-kilometre course in 2hr 55min 14sec — the same time as race winner Luke Lamperti, of Team Swift.
The 18-year-old came 24th in stage three, 31st in stage two and sixth in stage one and remains fourth in the general classification with an overall time of 7:51:00.
His team-mate Magnus Sheffield leads the tour with a time of 7:50:38. The six-stage race in Ennis, County Clare, continues today with stage five.
