A female motorcyclist is being treated in hospital for “serious injuries” after she was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer.

Just before 2pm yesterday, the rider’s auxiliary cycle collided with the vehicle on Harrington Sound Road, in Smith’s, at the junction of Somersall Road.

The road was cordoned off and traffic diverted from Harrington Sound Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 295-0011.
