A man suffered serious leg injuries after his livery cycle was in collision with a car yesterday.

The 44-year-old rider was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old man, was arrested after the crash and police said he remained in custody.

The accident happened on Warwick’s Middle Road at its junction with Belmont Hills about noon.

Traffic diversions put in place at the scene were lifted after officers completed their investigation.
