Police: no driver found at Paget crash
An apparent single vehicle crash early today in Paget brought down a light pole at a pedestrian crossing, a police spokesman said.
Police responded to the crash, on South Road near St Paul’s Lane, shortly before 2am.
The driver, believed to be a 33-year-old Paget man, had apparently left the scene, and it was not clear whether he had sustained injury.
Works & Engineering staff assessed the downed pole, and the damaged vehicle was towed away.
Any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number, 295-0011.
