Woman rider injured in North Shore crash
A woman motorcyclist was injured in a crash on North Shore Road shortly before 4pm.
According to police, the 23-year-old rider, believed to be from Smith’s, sustained “non-life threatening injuries to her arms and legs” in the collision, near East Point Lane in Hamilton Parish, with a fire truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Her vehicle struck the side of the truck, which was apparently operating its emergency lights and siren.
Traffic was diverted, but roads were open as of 6.45pm.
Inquiries are under way and any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
