A van caused a power outage in Pembroke last night after it crashed into a utility pole.

Police responded to a single-vehicle collision on Spanish Point Road at 9pm. The driver of the van, a male, was not injured, but homes in the area lost power.

Belco workers were trying to restore electricity.
