Woman injured in Barkers Hill crash
A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving today after a crash between a car and a bike.
A police spokesman said emergency services were dispatched to Barkers Hill roundabout in Devonshire at about 5.30pm.
The spokesman said: “The rider, believed to be a 50-year-old woman, was hurt but her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
“The car driver, said to be a 43-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”
Traffic was diverted from the area and motorists were cautioned to take other routes if possible.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
