Traffic was temporarily diverted from Middle Road this afternoon after a collision involving a bus and a car near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road.

A police spokesman said at 4.10pm the incident resulted in damaged vehicles, but no injuries have been reported.

As of 4.30pm, the road had been fully reopened to traffic.

The spokesman said: “The scene has been processed and traffic flow in the area has now returned to normal. Inquiries regarding the collision continue.”
