Crockwell fundraiser to be held at Belmont

Fundraiser: Cup Match cricketer Crockwell died this year

The Former Cup Match Players and Officials Foundation will host its first golf tournament, with proceeds going towards the educational fund for the daughter of the late Fiqre Crockwell, the former St George’s Cup Match cricketer.

The tournament is scheduled for next Saturday at Belmont Hills with a 7.30am shotgun start. It will follow the Captain’s Choice format.

The deadline for registration is November 9. Registration will take place at the Axis House in Pitt’s Bay Road.

There will be prizes to be won on the day which include: golf for four at Ocean View, Tucker’s Point, and Belmont, vouchers for dinner or lunch at Flanagan’s and Rosa’s Cantina, and gas vouchers provided by Raynor’s Garage.

Further prizes include golf shoe bags courtesy of Colonial Insurance and a cricket bat provided by International Sports Shop.

Anyone interested can call Denise Hollis at 405-2621 or Sally Trott at 405-2613 or e-mail Dean Minors at dean_minors@yahoo.com.

The cost for the tournament is $130 per person, which includes green fees and cart. Pre-registration is important, as there will be no registration on the day of the tournament.

• The Turtle Hill Golf Club will also be staging its 3 Ball Best Ball Ladies and 3 Ball Best Ball Men’s match on Saturday, starting at 8am.
