Bermuda’s virus status remains ‘sporadic cases’

More than 730 coronavirus tests came back clear yesterday.A total of 732 results were logged by the Ministry of Health and none were positive.The news meant the number of positive results remained at 159, with 145 recovered.There are five active cases being monitored by public health officials, but none are in hospital.Nine deaths have been linked to the disease. The average age of cases is 59 and the age range is from 18 to 101.A total of 55 cases came in from overseas and 85 were on-island transmissions with a known contact.Cases with an unknown contact totalled 19 and none are under investigation.Bermuda’s country status is still “sporadic cases” and the seven-day average of real-time reproduction is less than 1.
