Biopharmaceutical firm Sellas has appointed financial management veteran Bill Pollett as its chief financial officer.

Sellas, which develops immunotherapeutic products to treat a variety of cancers, said they were pleased to attract a CFO with Mr Pollett’s experience.

Dr Angelos Stergiou, CEO of Sellas, added that Mr Pollett’s appointment would assist the company in becoming a leader in its field.

Mr Pollett added: “Having the opportunity to work for an innovative biopharmaceutical company that is on the verge of final-stage clinical testing is an exciting professional opportunity and especially unique in Bermuda.

“I look forward to helping the company grow in the new headquarters in Bermuda.”

Mr Pollett was formerly president and CEO of Blue Capital.
