When is the Bermuda Broadcasting Company going to put the “free and clear” TV back on the air?

When one phones them to ask, they are unable to say. When one asks if this is the only phone call they have received, they say “no, we get phone calls about it all the time”.

So, would you think they might have an answer ready? No, apparently not.

I can’t quite recall, but I think it is several months now since the “lightning strike” that put it off the air. Now the question should be: when is the Government going to take away their broadcasting licence and give it to someone else who may actually provide a service?

If Bernews can broadcast the ZBM Evening News each evening on the internet, surely another provider is capable of broadcasting ABC and CBS programming in a similar fashion.

I’m very tired of Third World service — actually worse: no service.
