Dear Sir,

You report in today’s paper (November 10) that the Attorney-General stated in response to legislation allowing the legal affairs minister to release a photograph of the offender that he did not have one.

I find that statement quite incredible; I would have thought that any convicted person would have been photographed.

Maybe I have watched too much TV, but when people are arrested, they have a “mug” shot taken.

What are the procedures used by law enforcement and the prison service in Bermuda?
