Stay focused on yourselves, Somerset
The Letter to the Editor about the St George’s Cup Match team last Friday, submitted by Kenny Foggo, probably will get little recognition from the St George’s players.
Take this from me, Somerset players, executive, coaches, selectors and fans: take his well-meant feelings like a grain of salt.
You all should be fighting to be in Somerset’s top 16, so do just the opposite of what some of their players are doing.
Be at the majority of training sessions and team meetings that are held. Call the coach if you can’t make it that day. Don’t underestimate St George’s, although they have been below par recently, and play to win.
You all won’t make it in the Somerset team at this time, but still recognise that training and playing among the best in Bermuda will improve you.
Also don’t forget that Bermuda is playing an international competition this summer and those vying to be in Somerset’s Cup Match team can also be in Bermuda’s team because you are the best.
