CCS Group to host cybersecurity summit

Bermudian IT specialist CCS Group is to host a cybersecurity summit next week.

The meeting will feature guest speaker Tucker Thompson, the official America’s Cup TV and public host, as well as designer from Oracle Team USA, who will talk about the importance of protecting their boat designs in the lead-up to the competition.

The summit will also feature experts in IT security from overseas.

Peter Aldrich, general manager of CCS Group, said: “These experts will provide insight into a broad range of security threats that could affect any business.

“Their solutions can address a range of concerns about cybersecurity.

“Their technologies are some of the most sophisticated and comprehensive in the market today.

“Anyone who is responsible for the effectiveness of their business information and/or network security should plan to attend.

“The summit will help ICT professionals understand the latest and most technologically advanced security solutions available and how they can be applied to their organisation.”

Featured speakers include Robert Dyer, vice-president of Latin America for Cylance, which provides predictive and preventive technology services against sophisticated threats, Gilbert Perez, regional sales manager for Fortinet, a leading global provider of network security and Elias German, sales engineer for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean for Arbor Networks, a world leader in combating denial of service attacks.

Other speakers include Tim Foltz, regional director of ForeScout, which provides security across entire networks, including mobile devices, Mike Janocko, networking sales specialist for Netscaler and SD-WAN at Citrix, a specialist in secure application and data delivery and Andreano Lanusse, manager of systems engineering at Workspace ONE Team at VMware AirWatch, who will talk about how his firm can help create digital workspaces designed to harness rapid changes brought about by consumerisation.

The summit will be held on Thursday, May 4, at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute between 8.30am and 4pm.
