Green energy firm BE Solar has signed up Steven Douglas as project and procurement manager.

Stuart Kriendler, managing director of BE Solar, said: “We are thrilled to welcome another talented Bermudian to our team. Steven is joining us at an exciting time, as we seek to establish an even more dynamic team to help support and build the renewable energy industry.

“He is now part of a growing group of Bermudians who are passionate about our island and the future of energy production and we welcome him to our family.”

Mr Douglas is a certified facility manager through Building Owners and Managers Institute International and has several other certifications.

BE Solar in a statement said Mr Douglas’s involvement in maintenance and project management has provided him the opportunity to hone his skills and knowledge of electrical circuitry, mechanical computer technology, supervision of staff, and customer service.

Mr Douglas has experience in supervision of apprentices and other staff. He has previously worked in the elevator industry for more than 13 years.

BE Solar, based in Hamilton, provides a range of services, including efficiency installations like pool pumps and LED lights, as well as solar electricity-generating equipment.
