A pop-up gift shop has opened at the Bermuda National Trust’s Waterville property.

It is selling a wide variety of items that would make ideal stocking fillers for Christmas, together with home decorations, cards and the Trust’s 2018 calendar, according to Bill Zuill, executive director of the BNT.

The charity organisation already had a shop in the Globe Hotel on Duke of York Street, St George.

In the run-up to Christmas, it decided to open a pop-up shop at Waterville, on Pomander Road, Paget.

“We wanted to make our stock a little more accessible. We did have a small group of sale items here last year and people liked it, so it made sense to have a pop-up here.”

The shop has been put together by Diana Downs.

Mr Zuill said: “It lets people come and see Waterville. In the shop are Christmas gifts, vases, goods made from cedar, Bermudian-made items and Bermuda National Trust branded stuff.”

He added that another plus is that it the shop is outside Hamilton, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The shop is open from 10am to 4pm.
