DHL Express Bermuda has expanded and opened at a new location.

A retail outlet is now based in the Clocktower Mall at Dockyard, and there are likely to be more locations opening around the island, potentially creating job opportunities.

DHL provides international courier, parcel and express services, and has retail locations at Burnaby Street, and at Cox’s Hill Road, Pembroke. The international logistics company has operated outlets in Bermuda since 1999.

“The company has seen growth and market share,” Jermaine Scarlett, regional manager, Caribbean, said. “As part of our 2020 growth strategy and brand expansion, and to improve convenience to customers — based on feedback and market analysis — we have opened at Dockyard, which is a great location.”

He said DHL is looking at further partnership locations on the island to increase its presence, and said that would likely lead to job opportunities.

In addition, he said the company is rolling out a new product in Bermuda, called DHL Express Easy, which simplifies the process of sending mail and parcels, and uses dedicated envelopes and boxes.
