Gibbons launches plus-size Violeta line
Gibbons Company has announced that Violeta, a plus-size fashion line designed by Mango, is now available in Bermuda exclusively at the retailer’s Reid Street store.
Gibbons says the contemporary fashion brand “gives curvy women a voice in fashion with new capsule collections delivered every month”.
A launch for the new line took place at the store yesterday.
Paula Clarke, chief executive officer of Gibbons, said: “Our challenge in fuller figure sourcing is to find the right fashion brands for our curvy customers that resonate with their Bermudian authenticity. We listen to our customers, they want recognisable fashion forward brands that work on their unique curvier body type.
“Violeta collections are fun, sexy, full of life with vibrant colours, key basics and splashes of denim, each collection is full of wear-now fashion for each season, be it every day casual, career, party or fun with friends looks.”
Mango was founded in 1984, Gibbons said, and is today one of the leading fashion groups in the world. Based in Barcelona, the company has stores in more than 100 countries.
The Mango brand, Gibbons said, is now featured in three boutique areas in Gibbons Company — Mango, Mango Man and Violeta by Mango.
