Top local models will join many from around the world on the runway at the Bermuda Fashion Festival this summer.

The weeklong fashion extravaganza will include couture and ready-to-wear collections from international designers such as Thomas LaVone, Katerina Lankova, Dana Cooper, Monif C Plus Size, Soka and Evelyn Lambert.

Unveiling plans yesterday, the City of Hamilton said high-quality international models, reflecting a diversity of style and culture, would be joined by Bermuda’s top 120 models on the runway.

Danilee Trott, the executive producer and events project manager at the City of Hamilton, said: “This year we selected many new models and we were pleased to see the quality of auditions at Model Call.

“A greater crosssection of the community is represented on the runway, showing how this event really is for everyone who lives in Bermuda. Our models vary in age, size and ethnic background.”

The fashion week will be taking place from Sunday, July 10 to Saturday, July 16. For more information, visit the website www.bermudafashionfestival.com, which will be updated regularly.
