Police executed a firearms warrant at two residences just off of Main Road in Sandys which resulted in traffic diversions and disruption.

The roads are now open but the scene is still being processed.

Police media relations officer Dwayne Caines said: “At 4:27pm police executed a firearms warrant at two residences just off of Main Road in Sandys.

“As a result the area surrounding the two dwellings (Hook and Ladder Lane and Gilbert Lane) were cordoned off whilst the operation took place.”
