A 35-year-old motorcyclist is being treated in intensive care after colliding with a truck in the early hours of this morning.

The accident took place at 1.30am on South Road in Southampton.

The Paget man sustained serious head and leg injuries as a result of the crash. He was in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward II Memorial Hospital this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
