Female student hurt in North Shore crash

A 16-year-old female student is being treated for head and chest injuries after her motorcycle struck a wall on North Shore Road, Pembroke, shortly after 4pm.

The crash occurred near the First Church of God. According to police, the rider struck a wall near Grannie’s Kitchen.

Police spokesman Dwayne Caines cautioned that motorists using North Shore Road should expect delays in that area, where traffic is being diverted as police process the scene.

The driver has been taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The full extent of her injuries is not yet known.

Police appealed for witnesses to contacted authorities at 295-0011.
