The America’s Cup Endeavour Programme has managed to train close to 1,000 M1 students over the past school year with special two-week camps operating both in East and West.

The students who took part in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) curriculum were able to sail for free this summer, providing they passed a performance based criteria.

In September the students will be back on the water, learning STEAM through sailing.

The Bermudian sailing coordinator Katrina Williams returned home to help the children discover a love for sailing, thanks to her own passion for the sport.

In a short promotional video, she described the Endeavour programme as rewarding, adding: “It’s amazing to give back to the community every day.

“This is a dream come true. For me, as soon as I started sailing and racing I wanted to work with the America’s Cup.”
