A new partnership between Bermuda College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Canada is to focus on degree completion options and collaboration on technology intensive programmes

The two institutions have developed a strong relationship over the past year, resulting in more flexible postsecondary options for Bermuda College students.

The college and the university recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on developing a pathway for the university’s Bachelor of Information Technology programme. As such, students can start their education in Bermuda and go on to study and complete a specialised UOIT degree in Canada.

Additionally, students who graduate with an Associate degree from Bermuda College will receive up to two years of advanced standing in UOIT degree programmes.

“The agreement between Bermuda College and the UOIT will open doors to new learning and professional career opportunities for Bermudian students,” said Michael Owen, PhD, UOIT’s vice-president, research, innovation and international.
